Director's statement:
All the Known Die quiet is a phycological short film that explores how no matter who you are all deaths end in forget. Set in a high school the story shows how everyone wants answers to their questions, even if they will not like the answer. After Catherines death, Hannah is able to take control of the story as the narrator and someone that was always overlooked. However, creating her in such a way she seems like anyone else, drawing suspicion away from her allowing her to get away with her murders. I liked the idea that in the sense of danger most people would freeze up, becoming quiet and that even the loudest people won't be able to talk once they are dead. Showing the two sides of Hannah really helped show the very different sides of a teenager on a much greater scale. Most people go unnoticed by many in their life but underneath they could be hiding a big secret. Ultimately I used All the Known Die Quiet to help show that silence is not always a weakness, that can be used to do equally bad and good. Also that no matter how popular you are, your story always ends in quiet. Writing this script was really such a fun experience and I loved bringing all the characters to life, exploring the many different emotions a person might feel during this time of their life. Also, with trying to figure out how to tie the ending together, making Hannah as unexpected while still leaving clues throughout.
