Talk to Me Producers and the Philippous Launch Distributor Baby Jane

Summary

The Australian company will release genre films aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha in cinemas, operating separately from Causeway Films.
"Causeway Films co-founders Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings have partnered with Danny and Michael Philippou, the directors of Talk to Me and Bring Her Back, to launch Baby Jane, an Australia-based distribution company, ScreenHub and IF Magazine reported on October 27.
Baby Jane will operate as its own entity, and Causeway Films titles will not be exclusive to it, according to ScreenHub. The company plans an audience-first slate of local and international genre titles aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha, with a theatrical focus. ""We're known for producing bold titles and now we want to distribute bold titles,"" Jennings said, while Ceyton added, ""But we're not looking to be a traditional distribution company.""
Felix Hubble, formerly of screening collective Static Vision, SXSW Sydney and the Sydney Film Festival, joins as head of exhibition and acquisition, and Michelle Melky, formerly of Screen Australia, becomes head of marketing. No first titles were announced."
