Director's statement:
I wrote 'The Four Seasons' as an exploration of the creative spark and the unbreakable bond of female friendship. As a young writer, I wanted to capture that specific moment when an idea takes hold and how different environments—from a ballet split in a bedroom to a hammock or a garage—influence our inspiration. This story is more than a simple narrative; it is a celebration of collaboration. By having the characters, Mariana, Bianca, Rebeca, and Alicia, swap their real-life personalities, I aimed to demonstrate that our identities are fluid and that we find strength in the diversity of our group.
Each girl brings a unique passion to the table, whether it is history, geography, arts, or literature, proving that art is a mosaic of different perspectives. The title 'The Four Seasons' serves as a metaphor for the constant changes we go through as teenagers and how we complement each other like the cycle of a year. My intention with this script is to inspire other young creators to believe in their own voices and their collective power. I truly believe that the dream is the only reason not to give up on your plans, and this project is a living testament to that philosophy. Through this work, I hope the audience feels the warmth of our friendship and the limitless potential of a shared dream.
