Cain, based on true events, tells the story of the two lives of Darrel Cain, a Dallas police officer. His early arc, an unstoppable, downward spiral of violence moves forward while his second arc, his attempts at redemption and forgiveness, move backwards in time until the two meet at the climax, when Cain murders an innocent, unarmed twelve-year-old suspect. Then it’s for the audience to decide, who or what is Darrell Cain.
