A woman named Natalie "Nat" Taylor returns to her rural Illinois hometown after her father's death, inheriting his dilapidated farm. Bitter and resentful from her past, which includes a sex tape scandal with her former youth pastor, Nat refuses to sell the property to developers despite the town's desperate economic situation.
As the townsfolk grow increasingly hostile, Nat encounters a mysterious farmer named Thomas who may be a ghost or hallucination from the property's past. She enters a self-destructive spiral, engaging in a vindictive affair with Jason and rejecting attempts by her childhood friend Maria and stepmother Lani to help her. After being violently attacked by masked men and nearly burning down the local church, Nat finally agrees to sell the land. In the end, she returns to Los Angeles to resume her porn career, but not before threatening Jason with a sex tape of their affair, cementing her determination to leave destruction in her wake.
