Director's statement:
The goal for this story is to convey the release of finally being understood, encouraged, and embraced. It is to relay the experience of being an individual and connecting with others who can appreciate the ability to see things in a different light than others. Seeing dreaming as a gift and not a fault. This screenplay explores what it means to embrace every aspect of your identity, and to refuse the suppression of what makes us beautifully unique. Marrying the wonder of our childhood, with the gift we receive, with age, of courage. The acceptance of age does not need to mean abandonment of wonder. The film also explores the rejection of insufficiency, not allowing oneself to wonder if they were good enough, what they're meant for, the lack of skill, truly understanding that what matters is not what we can do but what we know deep down is right.
