14-year-old Jeanie's biggest problem is being alone for the summer. Her best friend moved to New Jersey. Intelligent and resourceful, Jeanie purchases a rose quartz cakra pendent that brings good luck, friendship, love. It paid off immediately. She finds $10 leaving the store, meets a new friend, and even has a moment with the boy who lives next door to where she babysits.
Happiness is short-lived. Her mother was brutally murdered. Her father is of no use in the emotional department. He works constantly, and is the prime suspect in his wife's death.
Through the stages of grief, Jeanie finds comfort in her pendent, and through it, she finds she can communicate with her mother's spirit. Together they put together the pieces of what happened, and bring the killer to justice.
Loosely based on a true crime event. Truth is stranger than fiction. What seems reasonable and believable is fiction. What seems outlandish and impossible is the fact.
