We open on a schoolyard fight between two brothers, DAVID and CHRISTOPHER ZENO. In the principal’s office, the boys’ military decorated father comes to reprimand them and also reveals to the older that he has cancer and is dying. He makes a speech about “it will be you and your brother against a world that doesn’t care about either one of you,” and then admits he was used as a weapon…a brasscatcher. 30 YEARS LATER Dave Zeno is a beat-up special ops machine. He’s married with a child and potentially one on the way. We also come to find out that Christopher also followed into the military career but was killed. CARACAS, VENEZUELA where a group of goons upload and post information on a hit job targeting FELIX “THE CAT” CREEG. A group of masked intruders lead by MCSHANE enter, extinguish the goons, and take a goon and their leader with them. Zeno hangs with his special ops crew discussing the loss of a fellow brother and discuss taking a job to help pay for the fallen soldier’s family. McShane brings the goons to Felix’s multi-million dollar apartment complex. Felix is ruthless as he kills one goon without a thought. McShane discovers the hit package was sent out and tries to warn Felix to run but Felix is not phased with his upcoming amnesty deal being voted on shortly. Zeno’s cellphone rings and discovers that his deceased brother is alive and going by the name McShane. He tells his wife that he is going to go bring him back from a supposed life of crime. First stop is Guantanamo Bay where Zeno interviews ADOLFO, a criminal who has knowledge of Felix’s high-rise bunker called The Rampart. Adolfo informs Zeno about the various traps and points of infiltration. Zeno assembles a team which includes ROJAS, who wants to avenge his brother’s death by the hands of Felix’s enforcer, CARAJO. The rest of the movie plays out with Zeno and crew retrieving information on where his brother is and infiltrating The Rampart. They kill with precision and plenty of blood and body parts fly. We also discover that his wife is pregnant although she keeps this information from him. Meanwhile McShane and Carajo butt heads over how to best brace for the upcoming team that will want to collect the Felix bounty. McShane wants to run but Carajo wants to stay. Felix however just wants to do copious amounts of cocaine until the amnesty vote. Zeno gets injured and awakens in a room where his brother McShane visits and reveals that he had been on a 4 year deep op which required him to die in combat and keep it from his closest. He also sent out the kill package knowing it will funnel to his brother, the best, so that Felix could be assassinated. They fight. Other character tries for revenge against Felix or Carajo and fails. Felix demands to know from McShane how their location could be infiltrated and McShane hints that there is a rat, Carajo. Things get revealed later that actually Felix knew it was McShane behind it and has him beat with a wine bottle. Yet another twist occurs when Zeno discovers a conspiracy that CIA worked with Felix and used his brother to make sure he worked with the CIA but then Felix was going to flip on the CIA, which in turned made the CIA want Felix dead. Also, Zeno discovers that his special ops buddies are the ones being sent in finish the job. More gunfire and blood, Felix dies, Zeno escapes, McShane wants to stay in the business of bad and the two brothers decide to part ways as potential enemies.
