I, the undersigned, hereby represent and warrant that I am the legal parent or court-appointed guardian of the participating minor student ("Student"). I further warrant that:
This indemnification remains in effect regardless of whether the Student wins a grant or scholarship and survives the conclusion of the competition cycle.
- Submission Authority: I have the full legal right and authority to submit the Student’s work and bind the Student to the terms of the NXT Competition.
- Institutional Permission: I have secured all necessary permissions, waivers, or clearances from the Student’s school or educational institution to enter this competition and share the Student's intellectual property.
- Ownership: The submitted screenplay is an original work created by the Student, and I have the authority to grant Kinolime the rights necessary for competition participation and promotion.
Hold-Harmless and Indemnification Agreement
The Guardian (the "Indemnifying Party") agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kinolime, its officers, and affiliates from any and all claims, losses, or liabilities, including reasonable legal fees, arising from:- A. School & Institutional Disputes: Any claim brought by a school, district, or third-party organization asserting rights over the submitted materials or challenging the Student's eligibility.
- B. Ownership Challenges: Any allegation that the submitted work infringes upon the copyright or intellectual property of others.
- C. Breach of Warranty: Any inaccuracy in the Guardian's representation of their legal authority over the Student or the Student’s work.
